Presley Mills

Presley Mills (she/her) is a designer, illustrator, and researcher with over a decade of experience working in design and marketing. Born and raised in Mohkínstsis (Calgary, AB), she is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
Since graduating from Alberta University of the Arts, she has been working on a variety of projects that include branding, typography, art direction, advertising and publishing projects with clients in tech, beauty, and lifestyle sectors. Her innovative approach combines traditional artistry with cutting-edge digital strategies
Her creative philosophy centres design as visual storytelling; combining arts and research practices. She believes in the power of collaboration fostering a culture of creativity that is culturally respectful, inclusive and reflects the diversity and beauty of Indigenous Peoples.
In the spring of 2019, Presley received her Master of Arts in Fashion from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her Métis heritage profoundly influenced her research, which focused on the embodied experience of decolonization through fashion. This work earned her the Linda Lewis Award for Design Excellence.
