Decolonized and Trauma Informed Communication

Discover how decolonization and trauma-informed approaches can create more thoughtful and inclusive communications. This workshop is designed for anyone who supports the communications function in an organization. This workshop incorporates Indigenous ways of knowing and can include elements like circle.

Training goals:

  • Provide a baseline understanding of decolonization and why it’s relevant for communicators and leaders in their communications

  • Provide an opportunity to explore personal identity and privilege to inform one’s decolonization journey

  • Provide best practices and key considerations to apply decolonized and trauma-informed practice as a communications professional
